Filing of CSR-1 (Registration of Entities for CSR Funding)

Form CSR-1 is used to register entities eligible to receive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. NGOs, trusts, and societies must file CSR-1 and obtain approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) to receive CSR contributions under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.

Process

Step 1
Check Eligibility: Ensure the entity is a Section 8 Company, registered trust, or society with a 3-year track record (unless newly formed by a company).
Step 2
Gather Documents: Collect all necessary entity and member details.
Step 3
Prepare Form CSR-1: Fill in the details on the MCA portal.
Step 4
Verify with DSC: Attach the digital signature of an authorized representative and practicing professional (CA/CS/CMA).
Step 5
Submit on MCA Portal: File CSR-1 online.
Step 6
Receive CSR Registration Number: Once approved, the entity receives a unique CSR Registration Number.
